The present concise survey is dedicated to teaching of mathematical (theoretical) mechanics and technical mechanics and research in this field during hundred years at I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. But there are not summarized the achievements in this direction on the occasion of the centenary of the University. It contains also activities of the restored, after three years break, Direction (Chair) of Mechanics in 2009-2018 and results of the speaker concerning cusped prismatic shells in the case of Kelvin-Voigt materials obtained in 2017.
